Many banks will request you to renew the code in order to begin or resume regular service as part of their ongoing KYC requirements. |

17. WHO MAY NOT RECEIVE AN LEI?

The LEI code is a unique identifying number that can be used to track the ownership and movement of legal entities. It's important for this reason, but also so we know who really owns what! If you're thinking about applying for one yourself or need help understanding how they work please give us call because there are some cases where an individual person may not apply (for example if all their assets belong in another country), while larger companies might have multiple divisions without needing individual codes too - let’s talk specifics over email

18. Can I register an LEI number for someone else?
Yes. A third party can apply for an LEI on behalf of another company. You will be requested to provide the name of the signing authority and supporting documentation.
